Olympus
Defence and control · 38 cardsHow Olympus plays
Olympus plays the clock. Its attack is the lowest of the three factions, but its defence is the highest — and in a game where you can only attack if you are going to win, a defence nobody can beat is a stolen turn: the opponent has no choice but to pass, and passing costs a card from hand.

Its path to victory
Put a wall on the table and let the opponent bleed. Every turn they cannot answer, they discard; every discard brings them closer to zero. On top of that, its abilities punish whoever attacks and squeeze their hand play by play.
It is also the faction that gets the most out of the team attack: its hoplites and phalanx turn common cards into a real threat, so it does not need legendaries to function.
Its weakness: Takamagahara, which does not try to beat the wall but to go around it while draining the hand.

The faction triangle
No faction always wins, and that is the point: Asgard's brute force breaks Takamagahara's evasion, Takamagahara's evasion slips past Olympus' walls, and Olympus' walls hold Asgard's force. On top of that triangle sits the elemental cycle, which can flip a losing clash.
And since decks mix factions freely, nothing forces you to play pure Olympus: the usual approach is to lean on its identity and patch its holes with cards from the other two.
